JOINTS+

How are collagen peptides made?

JOINTS+ Liquid Formula

Tablets and capsules have an average absorption rate of 30%. With liquid vitamins, the absorption rate is 90-95%, ensuring that nutrients are quickly and effectively absorbed by your body. With JOINTS+, one daily 25ml dose equates to taking at least 10 different tablets or capsules.

Collagen

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our bodies. Research shows that collagen helps to relieve symptoms associated with joint disorders, including reducing joint pain and inflammation. It’s role is to give structure to our cartilage, bones, ligaments, tendons, skin, hair and nails. Collagen allows us to move, stretch and bend. As we know, we start to lose our natural stores of collagen as we age.

Type II Collagen

There are 18 different types of collagen, and the important type when it comes to our joints and bones is Type II. This is because our cartilage is made up of Type II collagen. Marine collagen (from fish) does not contain Type II collagen. That is why we use bovine collagen from grass fed beef for JOINTS+.

Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3 helps to support the cartilage to maintain normal joints and muscles. Studies have shown that Vitamin D can help to boost muscle health and function and improve bone health.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C is an important antioxidant and plays a key role in our immunity. Did you know that it also plays an important role in collagen synthesis, thus supporting our cartilage. Furthermore, VItamin C has been shown to reduce inflammation, helping to alleviate the painful symptoms of arthritis.

Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 deficiency can be common, especially with age, and it can make us feel tired, numbness and tingling in our hands and feet, anemia, and joint pain.

MSM

MSM is a sulphur containing compound which is found naturally in plants, animals and humans. Sulphur is a major component of MSM and plays an important role in collagen synthesis and glucosamine. Both of these are important for healthy bones and joints.

Glucosamine

Glucosamine is found in your body and is the natural component of cartilage. Our bodies use glucosamine to produce other chemicals that are involved in building tendons, ligaments, cartilage and the thick fluid around your joints. It can help prevent inflammation and the breakdown of cartilage.

Turmeric

Is a natural treatment for joint pain. The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin and this helps patients manage joint pain symptoms, such as stiffness and inflammation.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin is found primarily in joint cartilage. It helps to enhance the shock absorbing properties of joint cartilage and block enzymes that break down cartilage.

Green tea extract

We have all heard about the health benefits of green tea, but its major component, epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects.

L-carnitine

L-carnitine is made in your liver and kidneys, and stored in your skeletal muscles, heart, brain and sperm. The main source in your diet is from red meat and dairy products.

L-carnitine possesses anti-inflammatory properties.
